National Campaigns

CMHA's mandate is to promote the mental health of all people. Education plays a vital role in increasing awareness about all  aspects of mental health.

National Mental Health Week: (First week in May)
National Mental Illness Awareness Week : (First week of October)
World Suicide Prevention Day: (September 10th)

These annual campaigns permit us to communicate with the public, with consumers of the mental health system and with consumers' families and friends on relevant issues related to mental health and illness.

Communication leads to understanding. And understanding is the most effective weapon against the stigma that prevents so many people from seeking help.
