Living Life to the Full is a fun and interactive course that will help you understand your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, and what to do about them!

 

Congratulations, you’re about to change your life!

 

Too much to do? Is someone close to you is ill? Can’t sleep? Feeling lonely? The way you feel is affected by things that happen to you, and you feel bad because you’re in a vicious cycle. Learn how to stop the cycle!

 

Living Life to the Full is a mental health promotion course designed to help people deal with everyday life challenges and learn self-management skills using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles. Course content and materials are practical and easily applied to everyday life situations.

✔ Problem-solving

✔ Stress management

✔ Motivation

✔ Dealing with unhelpful thoughts

✔ Anger management

 

When: Every Wednesday from October 16th – December 4th (8 weeks)

Mood Walks Fall   Image EN

Mood Walks is designed to encourage and support the mental and physical health of participants through education, exposure to the healing effects of nature, participation in physical activity and engagement with their community.  Group activities such as the Mood Walks program can promote social interaction and provide opportunities for peer support.

CMHA Champlain East branch is excited to offer free mental health awareness training, specifically for farmers and the agriculture industry in our community. 

  

In the Know is a mental health literacy program created specifically for the agricultural community. The workshops are facilitated by one of CMHA’s mental health professionals using real-life examples from the agriculture community.  Participants will cover the topics of stress, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders and how to start a conversation around mental well-being. 

  

In the Know is meant for farmers, producers and persons with whom they have regular contact. This may include, but is not limited to, family members, peers and allies in the agricultural industry such as veterinarians, breeders, seed or feed salespeople, financial institutions, accountants or community members who have direct contact with farm owners/operators.

Guardian Network Agriculture Wellness ON logo EN

FRENCH Guardian Network Training

Inviting agricultural businesses and community members who want to be there for their neighbours, family, co-workers, clients, and friends to attend the Guardian Network training. The Guardian Network is a community of passionate mental health advocates that supports Ontario’s farming community. The Guardian Network includes a one-day suicide prevention training and ongoing peer connection and continuous learning for trained Guardians. The role of a Guardian is to reduce mental health stigma in agricultural communities by fostering mental health conversations with farmers who may be in distress and connecting them with appropriate mental health and crisis resources.

The training is in-person and lunch will be provided.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
